Financial Breaks of Internet Connectivity

Improvements in technology within telecommunications has resulted in more Mb for your money. Unless you’re involved on a daily basis it’s difficult knowing which services suit your budget and requirements.

What’s changed, what’s new and what can I now get for my budget?

Our easy comparison chart can help answer all of your questions.

Looking at the price comparison above, you may ask “Why would anyone choose SDSL?”. Good question. SDSL is a technology being phased out and replaced by EFM. Find out more about EFM here and here. The legacy technology(SDSL) is now only needed where EFM equipment is not yet running. SDSL availability covers 802 exchanges and EFM at 715, which is due to increase over the next 3years.

If you have an existing SDSL service, find out how much we can save you by clicking here.

You might have noticed for approximately twice the cost of 2Mb SDSL, you can get 5x the bandwidth!

The cost of connectivity dramatically reduces per Mb once the delivery method (EFM or Fibre) is installed. The majority of cost is incurred to deliver the actual media, and it’s relatively cheap to increase bandwidth, which is why cost per Mb is dramatically less for faster services.

For companies looking for bandwidth in excess of 10Mb, you’ll want to look at fibre based ethernet. Pricing per Mb drops further, latency is improved and we can provision fibre absolutely anywhere. Fibre doesn’t rely upon distance or equipment at the exchange, meaning it has far greater reach over copper based services. Fibre does of course come at a premium in remote locations, however it is available, and we can provision it right now.
